A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been dating this guy for about 6 months (long distance). he wanted me to help him get a play station 3 that he's been crying about for the longest. at first I didn't want to do it until he agreed that if I help him he would send me a pair shoes that I've been wanting. so we made a deal. I sent him some money for his game but I never received my shoes!!!! everytime I ask him about it he gives me an excuse...."ive been working like crazy"," I'm too tired", what should I do????

A female reader, the1st1 United States +, writes (29 December 2008):

well the first thing you should do is DROP HIM. he isnt worth it! most long distance relationships dont work anyway, even if he once lived right next door to you!... and i wouldnt be sending my money to someone even if you trust them, because he could have been using you. i would just drop him, and forget about the shoes until you can get them yourself, dont depend on a guy. there are very few in this world that you can depend on... hope it all works out, and hope you have the guts to do what you think is right, instead of what he wants you to do.
