writes:I met a guy of an internet site, and we hit off straight away, got on really well. but i said i didnt wanna do anything sexually on a first date. i did make it clear, but then we ended up kissing n fooling around but didnt go the whole way because i stopped what i was doing, and kinda felt bad for it. i didnt wanna come across as some sort of dick tease but i had to keep my dignity at the same time. i explained this and he seemed fine at the time. now i think im being ignored and feel terrible. i actually do like the guy, and because i used to sleep around, i felt i needed to change things for the better. but now i just feel worse than i did when i was sleeping around. i kinda gathered that sex can complicate things too soon into a rendezvu. and that id earn respect too. i just dont get whats going on, i really didnt wanna put the guy off. and i told him i did like him. what now?

 if this guy is ignoring you let him go.
its too early at this stage to get emotionally attached and if he was a decent guy he would respect your physical space and not try and force you into sex.
your making very good positive changes towards becoming a better person and respecting yourself and your body by not sleeping around with everybody.
keep this up, and in time in sure you will give off the vibe of respect and meet a guy who will give you the respect you deserve.

reader, anonymous, writes (25 July 2009): You did the right thing. If a guy really likes a girl he'll go out with her again and talk to her again regardless of whether she sleeps with him or not. He was obviously only after one thing and wouldn't call you again even you had slept with him. Feel proud for doing the right thing!
