A female reader, findingme67 United States +, writes (20 December 2007):

findingme67 agony aunt I sometimes have the same problem with my boyfriend since he's a little he doesn't talk much either.

My best advice is to talk about something you both do. Do you two have any classes together? strike up a conversation about something that happened in class or anything happening during the school day.

Also, does your boyfriend play any sports? You could always ask him when his next game is or if he thinks his team will win.

Silent moments can be okay sometimes, but don't let it become a habbit. You two like eachother, so there must be something worth talking about.

Hope I could help:]

I hope he is just really quiet and that he does talk sometimes... Is there anything that you both enjoy, maybe a favorite tv shows or an activity you both enjoy. What about just finding out more about each other like what you both like and dislike, about your families, what you both enjoyed in childhood (well b4 your teens), favorite subjects, what you would like to do when you finish school. Or just general things like places you have both been to and did you like it and why. Once you have found things about each other and what you both like, you could work with that as a start of your conversations and as you find out more about each other, than you will have more to talk about. Hope this helps abit!
