A male United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

If i put a box of chocolates on her desk, saying " We dont have a thousand years, we don't have a hundred years, its time to be friends please."

Do you think after a break up that was over 15 months ago where i found she was seeing someone else and i walked away. During this period there have been many ups and downs. Power struggle between us. games i didnt know people play.

I know i have the power now becuase she thinks i am perhaps seeing someone else, im not but things she has sen i know she has added up to this.

Bottom line, we work in the same building and we simply dont speak, not sure if its my fault and not sure if its hers, but i want it at a level where we can say hi and mean it. I forgave her a long time ago.

How would this gesture be preceived do you think by her ?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 April 2009):

It all depends on the type of person she is as to how she wuld perceive it. The bottom line is that u are trying to make peace. That is the main thing. If she wants to continue to play games or be nasty then choose not to be a part ov it. It is a nice gesture. It culdnt do any harm. Try it & see how it goes. Goodluck in life & love
