We broke up so why the constant phone calls?

I'm confused. After two years of being together he breaks up with me. We have had a history of him breaking up with me and getting back with me (which hadn't happen often or I'd say no more). He decides to move out. I hadn't heard from him in a week, which was fine with me cause I'm trying to just figure out why he did leave when he keeps calling me five minutes after each one... max calls about 4 without a voice mail! If we are done in his eyes why does he keep calling me. P.S. there has not been any closure in this. If I bring up how I feel about the situation and what I want to do he will cut me short to abort the phone conversation.
