We are more off than on--can I make this work?

Question - (25 June 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 25 June 2007)
A female South Africa age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Dear cupid,

I have been seeing this guy, on and off for four years now. Every year, we get together for about a week, then stop speaking for the rest of the year.

These weeks are usually the highlight of my year. I think I am in love with him, because everytime I see him, my heart skips a beat. I was very heart broken last year when he started dating a friend after knowing her for only 2 weeks, and he has never asked me to be his girlfriend. I slept with him again last night and now I am confused. Am I just setting myself up for another heart break, or should I ask him out?

Please help.

nologo agony auntThis sounds like another love story.

You can make it work, but you won't.

Personally I don't believe that you will actually ask him out.

After four years you and him adapted to a such "relationship".

Here it is: "These weeks are usually the highlight of my year"
