Was my teacher checking me out?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *ainydaylady writes:

A couple of times when I've walked by him in the hallway and he says hi, I'm looking right at his face and his eyes sort of give me the once over, like they flicker up and down, once or twice this happened when he was standing waiting to go into a classroom with a whole bunch of year 7s lined up in front of him! Which is quite shameless.

Also happens sometimes when I walk into the classroom, I get the usual good morning and smile, and his eyes flicker down for literally a split second. I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't been studying his face intently, he wasn't staring or anything.

He isn't a creepy pervert, he is a perfectly appropriately behaved kind gentleman, apart from this one thing I have noticed him doing.

Is he checking me out, or just looking at what I'm wearing in a totally innocent way, like when someone you know wears something different to what they usually wear you just want to see what it is.

I don't know what to think really. He is a really lovely teacher, NOT young and inexperienced if thats what you are thinking. Just this one little thing I have noticed is niggling at me. Your thoughts? I am going to keep my guard up either way.

To Heartbroken In Love, okay okay calm down! I appreciate and understand your answer, I'm a young woman, frankly its better for me to blow things out of proportion to be on the safe side than brush them off as nothing until its too late and Im in a situation I really rather dont want to be in.

And marieclaire I understood what you meant, thank you for your answer also. I will be on my guard.

How do you know he doesn't just give everyone the once over. He's looking at all his students all day. Its called observing. Your thinking about it the way you do shows a self flattering side of your personality. Get over it. Everyone has a right to look at people.
