I'm female and have been trying online dating, again.. tried it last yearr too

we went to movie.

Second meeting, ( they are meeting quite a few women, Me not as many) nothing happened.

We enjoyed the movie, then chatted for a little bit after, about movie and online dating.. esp how tricky it is meeting strange people and working out what they think, then we said goodnight.

Later when I got home I texted a mild compliment ( but I meant it!)

they text back and say "thats very sweet, thank you very much!"

They are just saying thanks right?

They did not text any compliment back

( didnt expect one) but wished me "sweet dreams" also said " your easy to talk to" just a nice thankyou text from them, right? nothing else.. this means

they have no complment to give me and are being nice, they dont like me

movie isnt a good way to talk and get to know someone after we left for out cars she waved and said" bye, see you"

help!!

Firstly, calm down. Secondly, if you weren't expecting a compliment back then don't worry about it. Maybe this person is as unsure as you are.

Give it time, see if you want to go on another date and take it from there. Next time arrange a date for a restaurant or something so that you get to talk to each other as it seems you haven't had a lot of time to get to know each other. Then see where it goes.

Take it slowly, don't rush into anything. That's really my only advice.
