A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

hey, so i dont really know what im asking. But i know i have a problem. I have been seeing this guy for almost a month. We have been on a few dates and text constantly. When we started seeing each other, he was friends with my friend so she didnt like it at first but we pushed through. Also im 14 and he is 18 so he we got a few jokes. But at the end of the day we were happy so thats all that mattered. So, the point is..he is perfect, says everything he is i need to hear. Tells me im beautiful, is a perfect gentleman, makes me laugh...the perfect guy, right? But the thing is im bored. I feel like there is no spice...when he compliments me i dont feel anything. The butterflies have stopped. It seemed like the perfect fairytale..guy meets girl..theres a problem..they come through it..everyones happy and in love. Im happy...just bored. Im scared to throw all this away. HELP!

A female reader, Risingfromashes United States +, writes (23 January 2010):

You're so young! I got into my first relationship at your age and he was 17. Anywho- maybe it's just a mood you're going through right now, but either he's not the guy for you or you just need to Do something new! (Not physically FYI) but see a new movie together or randomly go to the zoo, the snow if you can but havent, get my drift? Ask him to buy you a shade of hairdye if you're both up for it! If his jokes/ what you two talk about doesn't intrigue you then it will be difficult to last. Suprise him with his favorite food or something. If anything you can be gently honest with him and playfully ask him to suprise you! Play hide n go seek (unless to silly for you, but we used to love that!) But you're too young not to have fun, and obviously smart to plan ahead to stay with him! Best of luck!
