writes: Im 19 and in the last 6 months my periods have got lighter untill i stopped having them at all - i havnt had one for over 2 months!! i know 100% that im definately not pregnant, but what else could it be?where im currentlt staying, i dont have easy access to a doctor so i was wondering if anyone else can helpthanks

reader, anonymous, writes (25 August 2006): sometimes excessive exercise can cause your period to stop. lots of olympian runners lose their periods during their training. maybe this is why? also, like was already mentioned, diet and stress are factors, as well.

 Sometimes irregular and odd periods may be due to diet and stress. Are you eating properly, i.e three square meals a day, or ar eyou stressed out or wirried about anything? Worry and odd eating patterns may cause periods to become lighter or even stop altogether, but I would strongly advise that you see your GP to check that everything is ok. Take care xXx
