writes:Hello allI met a guy and we have been seeing each other for about 5 wks. He lives about a hour away so we dont get to see each other as often as I like. We get on great and theres alot of chemistry. He kept phoning last weeking saying he couldnt wait to see me (we were meeting on Sunday) but he got so trashed the night before at a friends leaving party that he didnt contact me until Monday evening to apologise (by text). He has since emailed me today to say again he is sorry and that he is stubborn,selfish and has no manners and that he likes me and has had lots of fun on dates with me and for me to forget the weekend and remember our previous dates ... he hasnt actually had the balls to call me tho... should i ditch him or wait for him to call (if he does??) ???

reader, anonymous, writes (19 March 2009): Yes - i sent him an email back to say I dont bare a grudge and its fine and that I like him and hope to see him again... i sent that yesterday (he hasnt opened it yet)... but still no other contact from him as yet. No sense of urgengy but I dont want to write him of yet as we have had good times. ??

He might just be really nervous he royally screwed up by standing you up....he knows he made a terrible impression, but he sounds really remorseful.
I think I might call him and tell him you accept the apology and let him pick up the ball from there....what is it going to hurt?

reader, anonymous, writes (19 March 2009): If he won't call you, you call him. Tell him how you are feeling about all of this. If he doesn't have the balls to call you and say he's sorry, he obviously doesn't respect you enough.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 March 2009): I think that you should give it maybe a week or two, if he doesnt call back then ditch him...(but before you ditch him..{i say U should call him and just be like whats up before you leave him for good)
