reader, anonymous, writes (12 September 2008): say anything..if you know her go up to her and say hi and build it up from there. the next time you see her say hi..nice to see you again..how are you?? what have you been up to? treat her like you would one of your friends but with a flirty edge to it. ask her little quiestions like did you collect anything when you were a kid..things to keep the conversation going..if she likes you back she'll get your idea and go along with it without realising what she's doing. its a natural reaction trust me. :) hope this helps good luck :)

 I was told, by what I consider a "Date expert", that to not see yourself as being inferior to the one you want attention too but to be equal. Like Guillaume said, just talk to her like you would talk to anybody.
He told me that too, he asked me this "What do you talk about with other people?". I said "Random stuff that comes to my head, anything really." He said "That's exactly it, that's what you need to do with a girl you like, if she's interested she'll play along, if not well just move on."
He's right, just say w/e comes to your mind, anything as long that it's words. I tried it and it's surprisingly efficient to break the ice and loose your shyness.
I went to a girl once and told her "I like ketchup" she said "I'm not the kind of girl who likes hot dogs." and I said "you don't like winers?" she said "No it's the whiners that I don't like. "
Was pretty random huh? The conversation went on for hours. Hard to believe that it started with ketchup. One thing I learned that night... never underestimate the power of ketchup.
