Hey everyone, I am just wondering if it is normal for a girl to still be bleeding after the 3rd time you've had sex with a guy?

This is the 2nd guy I have been with. The 1st guy I was with for 2years and I didn't bleed my first time. Now he (the 1st) was on the small side so maybe that has something to do with it. The guy I am with now is what I guess would be average size? Anyways we have had sex 3 times now, and each time afterwards (either right away or a few hours later) I start bleeding bright red, not a whole lot but it does last for like 1/2 a day. I found insertion all 3 times to be horribly painful, it felt like losing my virginity again all 3 times. My bf even questioned how it was possible that I wasn't a virgin because of the fact that it was so "tight" as he described it.

So basically people I am wondering if this is normal? I went and got tested for STIs incase my ex had something (he lied about stuff so I question if he lied about his sexual past too) but everything is fine. I tested negative for yeast infection and UTI as well. So now that those things can be discounted I don't know what else to think? Does anyone have ideas as to what it could be? Or ways to help get over this hurdle? Thanks.

I think male endowment might have something to do with it, especially in the deeper penetrating positions because it can knock the cervix, which can cause both pain and a small amount of bleeding. This would only happen in certain positions, though, so if it's painful on insertion you may not be lubricated enough or he might not be slow enough.

I would urge you to visit the doctor for a smear test/Pap test. There may be some problem with the cells on your cervix making them bleed easily and the doctor will be able to let you know.

Could be because he's larger and the last guy you were with was small. Why don't you talk to a nurse about it, or your doctor? You went and got tested after all, the place you got tested couldn't help answering your question?

Bleeding isn't a sign of STD's by the way. And blood from urinal infection only comes when you pee and is also added with massive pain. Not in your vagina though, but I guess it can be hard to judge just where the pain comes from down there.

Grab a mirror and spread your legs. Where does the blood come from? Inside you? From the lips? Blood from the lips (or anywhere you can see) will be from his size as he presses into you and literally tears you up.

I had a boyfriend once who was really thick down there. Not large in length, just very round. If he tried to enter me from any other position than missionary, I would bleed. However I only bled for a short while. I bought some lubricant though and started in misionary and wouldn't have him enter me in any other position (just move around while he's in me) and I was fine.

Thank you to LazyGuy. Umm to answer your questions, we had lots of foreplay and stuff so I wasn't dry or anything. It is painful during the insertion and then for like the 1st minute. During the first minute he usually stays still cuz the slightest movement is like agony. Then after that it slowly subsides and then after that its fine. Oh but it also does hurt when he pulls out at the end, even if he tries to go slow. So whatever the pain is..it's coming from the entrance area. The bleeding...not sure where thats coming from though...which is why I'm concerned. I might end up going to the doctor, I don't know I'll give it a few more times and see

LazyGuy agony auntWere you wet?

Pain is relative and of course, I got no point of reference myself, but horribly painful sounds like more going on then just a hymen being torn. Especially since you are mature and you say the bleeding happens later (hymen is right at the front, if that was the cause, you would bleed instantly, seems the wounding happens deeper).

Is just the insertion painful or also the sex? As if he is hitting the end?

Skin can tear easily. If you are either not wet enough OR for some reason your vagina isn't relaxing, then this might cause it. Your vagina does something similar to the penis when excited, except in reverse. It gets deeper and wider. As well as the tissue swelling up. Compare this to how a dry mouth/lips cracks easier then when it is moist.

If it can't be explained by this, then you might want to consult a doctor.
