 Because he's a drama queen. Stop replying to him. Ignore him completely. To hell with some ex who thinks he can run your life after your relationship is over.
You're his ex. He can't control you any more and he's scared so he's trying to control you still. In a mature relationship, you don't go around spreading rumors about your ex anyway. It sounds to me like he's caught up in a middle school mentality about relationships.
