A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I told the girl that I like that I liked her and she thought it was sweet and the other day she managed to make me say that I loved her which I do but I knew that I shouldn't say it to her because I may freak her out and I still want to be friends but now after I said I love you to her she hasn't been talking to me over msn and usually we have a really good chat.

Do you think that I should try and fix it and how... or should I just forget about her and move on with my life?

A male reader, Chickens347 United Kingdom +, writes (2 June 2009):

I think in any situation like this, it pays to be calm.

Although inside you might be thinking, 'i'm going to message/phone/text her til she answers', don't. the last thing she wants is a thousand messages in all her inboxes demanding a response from you! She'll probably think your too clingy. I would reccomend you send her a facebook message or email her once asking her to meet up with you so you can talk in person about whats going on. This will only be awkward if you both choose to make it so. Your much better off telling her your feelings to her face without hesitating so she understands. She might have thought you were joking at first? She could have been too busy to reply? There are loads of different possibilities as to why she might not be talking to you as much.

If you've managed to speak to her face to face like a gentleman, she'll respect you and tell you her feelings back. Whats the worst shes going to say? I don't like you back, sorry. So what? If you were really good friends in the first place she'll respect what you've said and probably still want to be mates anyway. But if secretly she feels the same you've got a winner ;]

If she doesn't respond to a message, just leave it for now and when you see her again ask to speak to her or wait for her to come back to you. Trust me; This game requires patience!

Good luck mate
