Should I tell him how I feel before he goes back to college?

hey guys so i have this situation with my housemate i was renting my house for summer with other students and one of them is a guy who is 19 and im 21. I thought he was cute but i was like no way because of the age difference. Anyhow we got to be good friends and have aa lot in common. We spend a lot of time together and we kissed twice, i didnt want to take it any further but now hes going back to college on the otherside of the country and im really upset.He genuinely seems to care about me but i havent asked him if he wants a relationship or what. At first it was him doing all the running but now i have really strong feelings for him, shoiuld i tell him before he goes? also its been hard to get time with him lately beacuse hes studying like crazy for repeat exams and i dont want to get in the way of that because he will resent that. we are good friends as well and i just know il be upset when he goes.i dont know what to do can anyone give me any advice, it hurts like crazy:(
