A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Hi! I will except advice from anyone. Ok... I 28% of my ratings went to poor. I thought I was doing well, but a big percentage doesn't seem to think so. Should I call it quits, and stop giving advice because that was very discouraging to see.

I want to share this with you. I am on this site as said on my profile:

"If I can stop one heart from breaking,

I shall not live in vain.

If I can ease one life from aching,

or cool one pain,

or help one fainting robin into his nest again,

I shall not live in vain" (Emily Dickinson)

Try and help others, give advice to the best of your knowledge and what they do with it, is up to them. It is wonderful and rewarding when people do appreciate the advice and send a thank you. That is the real reward, knowing somebody did benefit from what you adviced.

Keep going!

Hi

Never give up on anything...and Young peoples advice and opinions are always needed. You know about things that many many of us aunts and uncles wont know, different times. You can relate to a teenager and possibly understand things that they in turn understand. Never give up...and ratings don't worry about that.Whats important is if you reached somebody in trouble and helped them feel better...just by taking the time to read their post and respond. I hope you do not give up. From an Agony aunt with 0 ratings.........

Merry Christams! via con dios...go with god.

Everoth agony aunti have a rating of 3, majority of them are poor, but you know what? people might not like your advice, but it doesn't mean it isn't true and doesn't mean there isn't some advice/help they cannot derive from your words

keep posting advice, you just might really change someone's life some day with a piece of advice you didn't think much of at the time

a_decent_1 agony auntCome on girl.. My ratings are 5.. That's as poor as it gets but my inbox is full with messages of Thanks.. There are people who cannot stand honesty.. I give an honest view without thinking about my ratings..

People tend to like the ones who are diplomatic and agree to whatever they say.. Being different and honest has some disadvantages.. So don't bother honey.. Just enjoy people thanking you.. That's the Real rating... G'day..
