Should I begin the 'get-over-him' stage or should I just wait?

Question - (5 February 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 5 February 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I am 21 years old and i have been with my boyfriend for over 7 years. We've never broken up, but now he wants a 'break.'

He said he loves me and that he still feels the sparks when we kiss... so what's the deal?

What should I do?

I've been researching a lot of things and it seems as though most ppl recommend avoiding contact; but when i do that it hurts -- bad.

Should i begin the 'get-over-him' stage or should i just wait?
