 Really this is just a case of going for it.
You'll be fine, just build up the courage, they're just a few words.
I used to be scared to tell a person I liked them or wanted to be with them, in case of rejection, but if they rejected me I was sad for a bit and moved on.
Luckily though, it seems that your girl seems to want to be you! So you should just come right out with it, it'll seem funny that you found it hard to ask later in time.
