I am 12 years old and I fancy this girl from school.

We email all the time.

I asked her out and she said she'll think about it.

Three weeks later she said no.

I got an e-mail saying 'Ask me out' so I did and she said 'no'.

Why would it take three weeks to get an answer and why would she say ask me out but say no?

A female reader, beenthere +, writes (27 December 2005):

you are only 12. kids play games. she probably did it just to see if you would ask. maybe she thought you fancied her and just wanted to know for sure. it's possible that she thought she wanted to go out with you then changed her mind but that's not likely. if she wanted to go out with you she should have just asked. it was very immature to do what she did. i agree with the other answer. get over her and move on. you've got your life ahead of you. there'll be plenty more girls i'm sure

She was playing a little head game, hun and she had no intention of dating you. Her behaviour should tell you she's too immature to be dating and she is the type of girl, you don't want to date. Some girls in your age range, do this. They treat other people as a joke. Don't sweat it-strike this up as a life lesson and move onto other girls your age, that are kinder and treat others with respect. good luck
