Question - (8 February 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 8 February 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My friend is having people round next weekend but it's going to be her, her boyfriend, another couple, this guy and me. I'm not into this guy at all and I feel like it's really cringey and 'set-up' so I don't want to go, but she knew when she asked that I had no other plans and so I can't cancel, what should I do?

Thanks.

You can do what ever you like you are your own person if you dont want to go you dont. Just tell her you cant make it cause you dont want to and that she shouldnt have put you in a spot like. if she doesnt already know that you dont like the guy tell her that aswell.

Act with integrity and dignity. Go along and work at having an interesting conversation with this guy as best you can and then 2 hours into the evening make your polite excuses and leave. You've done your stint at this circus no go home and pamper your self with a bath a chardonnay and chocolate!
