A female reader, SugarCookie United States +, writes (20 July 2008):

Before thinking about a tummy tuck think about the scar. It will wrap all the way around the front of your waist line. You will have to wear your pants a little high and wearing a bathing suit that sits low is out of the question because you will have to hide the scar. The scar is not pretty. Look it up on google and then rethink the question.

Don't take that as a harsh response I just want to really help you and I really think you would regret the scar!

Heres just one pic:

Hi, well actually, I would say that most definitely, you can lose that excess through exercise, no prob.

I can understand how your feeling a little distressed by this but I really do think it's not as bad as you say. We all perceive ourselves in a far less favourable light than is actually the case - more so with you as you're female!

Just join an evening exercise class - tums and bums, that sort of thing and you may be amazed at the results.

Can't hurt to give it a try, eh?

Good luck.

No, I don't think you need a "tummy tuck",..certainly not at your age. Just stay on a good diet and do some exercise. Sit-ups and leg lifts would be good to "tighten up". And just some good regular fast walking can be great.
