I'm working on trying to reconcile with my girlfriend whom I have dated for the past year. We both are divorced and have kids. When she broke up with me, she told her family that she was no longer seeing me. What can she/we say to the family that we are trying to work things out and not look too stupid?

Lostandalone agony auntTo me you just answered your own question. You are trying to work things out. If it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't. The fact is you are all adults and adults understand that all relationships don't work out. The only thing I would be concerned about are the children.

Ainley agony auntwell i think the best way to save face is to see if you two do actually get back together and things work out first so that way if it doesnt work again the kids wont be effected.
