I need to know what other girls do when you pluck your eye brows...

i just sort of 'clean them up' i guess. just plucking the ones around the edge and the next day they look really messy again.

should this happen or do i have very fast growing eyebrows???!!!

also how much should i pluck???

how often do you pluck yours???

Any help would be great!

Thanks!!!

This is the same with me it is the most annoying thing in the world, is it not?

I'll do a complete blitz of my eyebrows then I have to do it again the next day!!

Uber irritating, but if you just make it part of your routine, it won't seem like such a mammoth task.

Every morning after your shower, this is when you should pluck, as the hair will be easier to pluck and less painful.

To decide how far to pluck between brows, hold something straight [I use my trusty hairslide!] up from the inner corner of your eye and where it crosses is where your brow should stop.

To decide how far to pluck out, you might be able to see the natural peak of your eyebrow, but if not, hold your hairslide at a 45 degree angle and that's approximately where it should go up to.

Typically, for plucking along the line of your brow [underneath] you should be able to see the line of where your brow grows in an arc that peaks.

A lot of people say don't pluck the top of your eyebrows, but I sometimes do if there's a few stray ones up there!

If you want to get a better idea of where you should be plucking, get them professionally waxed, then you can just pluck out the ones that grow back =)

Grooming : I hate it, it's tedious but it makes your brows look a lot tidier!

Brush your brow hair upwards [using either your finger or, if you've got one, an eyebrow brush] and snip [I use hair dressing scissors - but any old scissors will do] the hair that reaches up above the top of your eyebrow.

Then brush it down again =)

Remember to pluck in a well-lit room [I like at a sunny window =) ] or using a lamp so that you can see properly.

If your eyes are close together [like mine!] don't overpluck between brows or they'll look even closer together!

If they're wide, try not to let them overgrow.

Small eyes shouldn't be dwarfed more by bushy eyebrows.

Big eyes don't really go with really thin eyebrows.

Hope I helped!! =)

Good Luck Plucking ;)

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 July 2009):

my skin is sensitive to wax so i thread mine. threading for me is less painful then waxing and leaves my eyebrows nice and clean for about 2-3 weeks before my hair starts to grow back. Once it does i just pluck the extra hair that grow back and do it once every 1-2 weeks. I thread them again if i get lazy and dont keep up with them by plucking.

I'm a licensed cosmetologist! I can tell you from what you've posted that you probably wanna follow the three step rule! I would take a darker shade of eyeliner and draw on the shape you want. Do both brows. Make sure you like them. Take a eye pencil on the outter part of your nose that's where your brow should begin mark it! Then take then pencil and put it over your iris or colored part of your eye. That should be the highest point of your eyebrow if you want an arch. Take the pencil and line in up with the outside corner of your eye that's where it should end!

I know it might be cheaper to wax at schools and I loved to wax clients when I was in school but remember they are students!!!! If they mess up they aren't responsible!

Okay thanks.

I don't really want to wax for the reason i can't afford it and my mum would not approve.

so i guess I'll just keep plucking!!!

God bless you all.

In the beginning your hair will grow back pretty fast but through the years of tweasing your hair will begin to grow slowly. I just twease every 2 weeks...and its up to you on how much to take off i like myne thin some girls like them thicker...but if you dont feel like doing it as often go to the salon and get a wax it last longer and they will help you with how much to take off. Good Luck.

Honeypie agony auntGo and get your brows done professionally - at a spa or hair salon. After that all you have to do is pick the stray hairs that "don't" belong in your brows..

I pluck mine 2 times a week ( maybe 3-5 hairs each time) I have them groomed 4 times a year, so every 3 months. They look pretty consistant. I usually wax the little hairs between the eyebrows every 2 weeks with a Wax strip from Sally Hansen ( they make some nice narrow wax strip that you warm up in your hand. - Just remember to NOT do this if oyu plan to leave the house the next couple of hours..

Just make sure whomever fixes your brows don't make them too thin.

get them waxed. the person waxing will do it the way you think it looks good, and you won't need to do it nearly as frequently!! it can get expensive, so try getting them waxed from a school for people learning how to do these things. i get mine done there and it's only $4 instead of $15!

good luck!
