I recently worked closely with this boy in a love scene for a school play, and have fallen completely in love with him in real life! Unfortunately he has a girlfriend, but a friend of his says he likes me, and that he and his gf are really unhappy.

We got on really well during the show; now it's over I've heard nothing from him, other than a few initial emails. Do I have a chance? It's killing me!

Phoebe Halliwell agony auntOK, just think for a second. Ask yourself the following -

1) did he seem to enjoy the play as much as you did?

2) what does he say in these e-mails?

3) are the friends that are telling you everything trustworthy friends?

4) do you actually know he likes you as much as you like him?

5) How do you know him and his girlfriend are un-happy?

6) Do you see you getting together and having a healthy relationship.

Maybe just being his friend will do for now. As I have told many other readers in the same situation as yourself : sometimes a relationship built on friendship and trust turns out better than a Relationship built on attraction.

Good Luck -

OMG! I'm so totally in the same situation! I worked closely with this boy in a school play and now i am absolutely nuts about him! He recently got dumped by his girlfriend so i think the best thing to do is just go for it! Do what i'm gunna do! He's a great mate and i think if i ask him out and he says no we'll still be real good friends. If you like, you could get one of his other friends to talk to him about you and find out if he loves you in that way, but if not, don't despair! Just carry on being good friends with him and perhaps one day you'll get lucky! Good Luck!:)
