Since I started seeing a new guy about a month ago. I've stopped eating, not perpously, I didn't even notice until about a week ago, I do eat, but like once a day if that sometimes. I don't know whether love sickness is making me not feel hungry anymore? I don't know what to do...

Blod agony auntI think if you were love sick, you'd know about it. You wouldn't be able to eat because you'd constantly have butterflies in your stomach. If it started around the time you started seeing this guy, then it could be linked to him. So think about how you felt when you started dating him. Was there any significant changes in how you felt?

People naturally fall into these phases of eating less/eating more anyway. So if nothing stands out, this will probably pass. Now that you're aware of this, please make sure that you get your diet back to normal and healthy. Make sure you get a good few meals every day, including breakfast, and eat plenty of fruit/veg for your vitamins. Hope I helped.

Well you can start by eating. Love sickness maybe good, but not eating properly will make you really sick, and that is not good.

Kinda hard to be in love if you are too sick, from making yourself sick. If you notice this problem yourself, then your body is already telling you something.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 August 2010):

I have had the exact same problem. I got over it after about 2 weeks, then, a few weeks later I had to go away for a while I missed him like mental. When i got back, we were completely obsessed with each other again. And I couldn't eat AGAIN! I think it just comes and goes, I'm eating normally again now but it seems to be linked to the process of falling hard for someone. Just make sure you're eating enough to stay in good health.

A female reader, Romani United States +, writes (4 August 2010):

You say "Love sickness" but haven't indicated if have you suffered heartbreak. Sometimes when you are so excited about a crush or new love interest your apetite will fluctuate . This is normal- FOR A LITTLE BIT . However if this continues ( ur lack of apetite) see your doctor.

To fix your problem, eat small meals thriughtout the day.

tennisstar88 agony auntNo such thing as love sickness..u most likely cant eat bc ur overly excited about a relationship and u often think about him and often forget to eat. Now do me the favor of calming down a lil, and eat 3 times a day. No guy likes an anorexic girl.
