Only talk to him about your daughter.
If he texts / calls and wants to talk about anything else then don't respond, and just tell him you have to go.
You only need to arrange delivery of your daughter to him and collection again. Plus basic communication about any problems she is having.
You basically have the same amount of communication with him that you would have with her teacher.
