Heres my story. And it's a long one at that....

Some fore years ago i married a woman that already had five kids...one of which i took on as my own due to my wife telling me that the biological father was a bad egg. I had another two children with her one 3 yrs, the other not yet a year old.......As time went by my wife became violent toward things that i might do, such as read a mens mag (not porn) And watch dvd's that (might) have some naked bits in...She would go crazy!!!! Anyway, i decided that enough was enough, so i paid the Biological father a visit, and he told me that he went through the same thing with her.....My wife and i are now getting a divorce...she's seeing another bloke.....I'm fighting to see my kids. And this guy is going back to court in order to see his son.

I have been away from my wife for only two months. But still feel really hurt...whats the best advice

A female reader, anonymous, writes (28 November 2008):

You must have some rights as regards your own children but not the ones she had without you. I think you need to get some legal advice about it.

It's good you've been in touch with the biological father as it will help you both with what you are going through and maybe she will start to sort herself out.

You don't say how old the children are but surely they should be consulted about what they want, and after a certain age they could see you if they want.

As to the emotional hurt, try to have as little contact with her as possible, get support from family and friends and make yourself a new life. The healing will come in time.
