writes: what, what did really bad...?..okay I am an only doughter of four and I feel like my parents over protect me... last night I went to my x-boyfriends house to watch a movie..(we didn't do anything bad) however,my parents don't know that the problem was that it was around 9:40 and the streets were dark ( he lives a block away from me) we stopped for a min. and that's where my parents showed up.although we weren't hugging or kissing or anything like that they still triped... n they say that we looked bad in the dark on the streets...(what do u think???)I feel I am a 17teen year old that has no life and tries to be someone she doesn't want to...I don't go out as much my friends all say my parents over protect me(if I go to a party I have to be back at 10 if I go over to a friends house my mom needs to talk to their mom sometime...) I don't know what to do... I talked to it with my aunt n she says I'm scared of my own mom... is that true..?..

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2011): I don't know what the answer is, but I can tell you you're not alone.I have a friend, she's 20, and although she has a good relationship with her parents they are also VERY protective. They often talk to her like she's much younger and even though they're friends too it makes my blood boil.
