writes:i know age is just a number but i have a quick question is 16 which ill be 17 in a week and hes 20 is that big of a differnce? because my older sister keeps calling him a prevert but her husban is 29 and she is 23 so is she just trien to get him to leave me ? i think she maybe jealous of me i know she tried to sleep with him and he didnt he told me right away but could that be the case ? she also says bad things about me to him as the baby iam pregnant with isnt hes and tells me hes no good sleeping with me at hes age he is a prevert, im real confussed does this mean something or is she just trien to make me unhappy like her?

 unless they have good reason which they should say to you then ide ignore it because their isnt an age gap thats big now if you were 16 and he was 30 then theirs an age gap lol ask them why they think hes too old and bring up that point that you dated someone older and they didnt mind so why now hope this helps xx A

reader, anonymous, writes (2 August 2007): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionwell age gap i dont see one he doesnt either but it seems some people i know and he does as well says hes to old for me ill be 17 in sept and he'll be 21 in nov. and i love him we have been together since i was 15 and he was 19 so not that long but long enough to know i do care about him deeply and do love him but still i dont get why people keep saying hes too old even my parents think i shouldnt be with anyone ove a year older than me and noth my olders sisters 21 and 23 think hes a prev. im kinda really confussed in why they see him this way because when i was 14 i dated a 22 year old for a month and they didnt say anything but could it be they dont want me to be happy?

Unless your sister really knows something about this guy that could be very damaging to you if you were to continue this into a fully fledged relationship I would be prepared try ignoring her completely.
From what you have written you sister comes over as little more than a spiteful hypocrite.
Assuming she has no information which could be helpful in your shoes I would go ahead and have fun.
As for the age gap - What age gap??????

in my opinion she is not much of a sister if she tries to sleep with youre boyfriend..just because youre 16 and he is 20 does not mean hes a pervert..i was 16 and dated a 21 year old. she could be jealous or just tryin to look out for you in a bad way.. my sister always tells me a bloke is bad for me but really she doesnt want me to waste my life on men she doesnt like..as long as youre happy and he is happy then what does youre sisters oppinion matter hope this helps xxx
