YummyMummy agony auntExplain to your girlfriend how you see dirty texts as not a laughing matter. The fact she can do this shows she has no loyalty or respect for you which after 16 years there should be lots of it. Ask her why she did is? Like was it because she feels there's something lacking in your guys relationship or did she just not think and went along with it.

As nologo says once the trust is lost in a relationship things can go down hill and be very hard.

Good Luck!

nologo agony auntI cannot grasp why you are not married.

Anyway, your GF is not commited to you.

Her actions you described should be classified as cheating.

"She claims it was a laugh" - Only if you both think alike.

"I am devastated and feel like i cannot trust her it again".

After you lose trust your relationship may become troubled.
