My ex sent me a friend request on myspace.

Question - (22 October 2007) 1 Answers - (Newest, 22 October 2007)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My ex-boyfriend sent me a friend request on myspace. He was on there before when we were dating but he'd decided to delete his profile (not because we broke up). I don't really want him in my list, or as a friend because he was too intense of a boyfriend and will probably be just as intense of a friend. If I block him, I still have to face him in one of my classes we have together. What should I do?

A male reader, Collaroy Australia +, writes (22 October 2007):

Collaroy agony auntGo up to him in your class and tell him you feel uncomfortable about having an ex boyfriend on your list. Simple as that. If he asks why you can respond that you havent given up dating and there is a chance you and he will meet someone in future for that reason you dont want an ex boyfriend crowding your style.

Personally I think he is being a little sneaky, I cant say for sure but for most guys when you split up with a girl , that's it ,you move on (unless you are the crazy clingy type).

For this reason, I think you need to be direct, just simply say "Sorry , I am not going to accept your invitation, it was very sweet that you want to be my friend , but I want to move on "
