My boyfriend is angry thinking that I told a friend he was insecure!

hi everyone i am in such a dilemma , guys i have been seeing this guy for 17 months and he really loves me , a week back he disrespected me and i kept ignoring him , meanwhile i went for coffee with a very close friends at mid night because i really wanted to clear my head , he is like an agony aunt to me he invited two other good friends too one of them i had kissed three years back but we are friends now , i had deleted him off Facebook because i wanted my boyfriend to del a girl it was all in good humour , he asked why did i del him i told him the truth and then we all sat and chatted and then home , my own boyfriend who i was ignoring heard it from someone that i was at that coffee shop last night and he started ignoring me i said this to my friend and said maybe because my boyfriend was insecure so this friend sends him a message on Facebook saying she loves you and i am not between you and your girl and now my boyfriend is pissed thinking that i told my friend that he is insecure of my friend and that as if my boyfriend made me delete that other friend which is not true please guys what should i do now ?
