Even though he MIGHT have changed, its a strong possibility that he isn't very capable - or interested - in forming a strong, lasting relationship with a woman. Sounds as if the hundreds he's had one night stands with were just sex opportunities, and nothing more. I doubt (I could be mistaken) that he really valued those women for anything more.
That's what I'd be wondering about if I were in your shoes.
