writes:my and my ex have been together for about 2 years when suddenly 2 weeks ago he broke up with me because he thinks i cheated on him and that i wasn't treating him well. i just found out the day before we broke up that my grandpa was in the hospital with 3 anorisms( they are like bags of posion) in his stomach. my dad had died when i was 10 and my grandpa is the only one left that reminds me of my dad. i told my ex te story. but he said that its to late and that i should of told him sooner. but its one of those things that you just randomly pop into a convorsation ya know. anyway. he said that he's lost all trust for me. and i dont understand why. how do i gain his trust back?

reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2008): Sorry about your grandfather and your father. It's unfortunate that you've had so much sadness in your young life. However it is not your boyfriend's job to make you feel better. This you will have to do all by yourself, with the help of your family and friends that know your grandfather well. You cannot expect your ex to stay with you just because you are unhappy.
He dosen't trust you? Why does he think you've been cheating, where did he get this idea from. We can't tell you how to deal with the trust issue, untill you tell us why he might have reason to doubt you.
