well first off - not to point out the bad in this, but there is a TINY chance your friend could have been jealous. However, now we;ve got that lil detail outta the way, let's think about your problem for a second.
I'd say just check it out for yourself. Leave things to play out for a little while and see how you really feel about him. When you're 100% sure and ONLY then, try and meet up with him and tell him how you feel. It's hard, I know, I've been in exactly the same position as you before. You feel lost, unsure, and a tiny bit weird, right? Yeah. So just relax for a while and see how you feel.

 wel maybe your freind is just jealous or maybe she knows about this other girl and doesnt want to see you hurt! but decide on your own its your mistake so youll be the one who will rather get hurt or be happy! so you make your choice!
