writes:I am 15 and i have fallen in love with my cousin.I went to France to visit family that i have never met. (i've never been overseas and i was going by myself) i stayed with my aunt. A and uncle J. and two cousins that i have met before because they had come visit me in america. i stayed at their house but then my other cousin N.(my other uncle and aunts son... he is 24) came to show me around paris. we spent all day together and we had a blast! we had some rediculously romantic moments on trains and walking around paris with icecream by the eiffel tower...i could go on.. and because i am young and i have also never met him and he is like a stranger, i couldnt help but develop feelings for him. ' One night my uncle J. started yelling at me for spending time with cousin N. and that i was like an imposition on them! so my cousin N. was there and he tried to calm my Uncle J. down and i was confused (because they were speaking french and mines not to good). so i started to tear up (not cry yet). My cousin N. finally left back home and i then started crying and i called my mom and she told me that my cousin N. was gonna let me stay with them so i was happy!he would sometimes look at me and smile, then i would look at him and he would quickly look away. i started to notice him looking at me with these eyes that i just can't really explain. then one night, when him and my other cousin M, though i was asleep, i heard N. telling M. that he didnt know what to do and that he fell hard for me, but he felt like he was a disgrace on the family. My cousin M. just kept saying "but your like strangers! you didnt know her! you didnt grow up with her!"and then i fell alseep.. a couple of days later i left back to america and our parting was sad. he jokingly asked me to stay with him. then he asked seriously once more a few moments later. i didnt cry infront of him. but when i was on my 7 hour flight.....i wept like crazy..and now i miss him.

 I think if you like him go for it but how would you make sutch a relation ship work. everyone is always saying your to young or to old difrent people are ready at diffrent times the divorce rates are insane in the states and im pretty sure there isnt a 15 or 10 year age gap between all these excouples. if you think you can make it work with this guy go for it

reader, anonymous, writes (13 August 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questioneveryone keeps telling me that i was only with him for 3 weeks and that i can't possibly be in love but in those three weeks i was with him! i didnt even notice my feelings until when i had to leave! i feel that me and him had a connection that nobody will understand... and i feel like i have no one i can talk to about this....not my family nor my friends...its sad that i had to turn to internet...and yeah he is my 1st cousin.... but i know that pursuing this relationship is wrong...

I kind of had something like that. I went to visit my Aunt and Uncle and my Cousins-A, Z, and J 18.I haven't seen them for ages and I went with my mother. J and me have been really close and I like him a lot and I can't control myself around him. We did romantic stuff too! Like walking along the beach and we went and got ice cream together. My Aunt could see that I really liked him and he really liked me. I got a talkin to from my mom and he got a talkin to from his dad. I tryed to stay away but it's kind of hard when he is like right there! I think we are good now? Anyways, whatever u do don't just ignore him but then again don't actually go with him! Just follow ur heart. It's easier then you think!

 It does sound like you really like him and that he really likes you. However, he is too old for you. Try to get to know him more over the months/years, so it shall give no reason for anyone to say that you bearly know each other. If you both like each other enough, wait til your 18, so the relationship shall be legal and he won't seem like a pedofile. If you both like it eachother, this likeiness should last through the years.Is this man a close cousin? Is he your first in line cousin or further? If it's second in line cousin, then i think that when you are 18, it wouldn't seem that wrong and disgraceful for you both to date.Hope this helps X
