reader, anonymous, writes (16 December 2008): It's not OCD, it's self harm, and a lot of people do it. It's a misunderstood condition because people do it as a way of coping but others see it as suicidal behaviour which it generally isn't. However hurting yourself will do more harm than good.
To let your stress out try one of the following:
Screaming into a pillow
Banging together pots and pans
Scribbling with a red pen
Writing what's stressing you out onto a piece of paper
