A female United States, anonymous writes:

so a few months ago i was at a party with a bunch of friends, we were celebrating the birthday of another friend. some drinking went on, and one friend really likes to talk while she's tipsy. so she had one on one talks with all of us. i didnt mind, i thought it was a good chance to talk about some things and get to know some ppl better.

while i was having my talk w/ my friend, one of my best friends boyfriends decided to eavesdrop on our conversation. and to make things worse he told my friend (his girlfriend) what we had talked about!! i was going to tell her some of what was discussed the next day, but it really made me mad that he listened in and then told her!! and what really shocked me is the fact that my friend didnt seem to mind that he was eavesdropping in the first place.

so i'm still mad about this, and i dont completely trust the guy. am i right to feel this way?? some of my friends think that i am, but one doesnt see it as a big deal. any thoughts??

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 October 2007):

Dont let these people get the better of you. Dont get angry with them and stoop to their level. I think in future you need to pick who you have a chat to and just who is sitting around you listening. Tell these so called friends that you are not amused and find them quite childish. But beware what you say, remember the saying 'walls have ears@ and that comes in the form of so called friends.

take care
