firstlty i dont think age is the issue here, when your younger its a problem but your maturing now and are in a position where you make your own descions, im not saying forget it as it will have consequences i think youve noted, just be aware its not the problem for now.
if you really do like him you have to find the courage to tell him! no matter how hard its better being honest and open than regretting it and hiding how you really feel. his reaction could surprise you, he may feel the same way! i think the fact that youve always seen him as a mate has covered the underneath possibilities of what could be. now its out and open time to take action. go for it! xxx
