Is this is normal behavior to retreat and not see me or do you think he is telling me to grow up and stop acting ridiculous?

He got mad at me for somehting I did. When he gets mad he likes to be alone so not to think about it. I like to resolve things - I guess it is a girl/guy thing. Of course I went on a text messaging rage which drove him crazy. Well anyway we just talked and he was very nice and he said see how nice I can be when you are not in a tizzy. I said yes but I just get that way when I think things are silly. He did not want to discuss that be we talked about other things for about 20 mins. He said I was acting childish which I agreed. But... I feel like he is punishing me for my bad behavior. He is a great guy, I love him I know he loves me... But do you think this is normal behavior to retreat and not see me? Or do you think he is telling me to grow up and stop acting ridiculous? I do not want to lose this man. I have never loved anyone before.
