Hi

I am a 17 year-old male. I have a problem with the head of my penis and I think it is too sensitive. It hurts a lot when I have an erection and when I touch it. My foreskin also does not retract when I get an erection, I think my frenum is too short. Is there anyway to desensitise the head?

this may be a case of phimosis. i have recently been diagnosed with this and the symptoms are exactly as i had. there are 3 options i was given. 1) take warm baths and stretch it on your own. this will take several weeks, dont pull too hard and hurt yourself. 2) stretching by doctors undearneath anaesthesia. or 3) circumcision. I got circumcised 2 days ago and all is healing well. it isnt a "major" medical procedure, but will take about 1 week to heal and 2-3 before swelling goes down. good luck. consult physician

ingotblue agony auntIt sounds like a job for the doc, the only way to desensitise anything is through getting it used to being touched.

But it sounds like you might have a medical problem with your foreskin and the best way to get this sorted is by talking to a doc, the doc will be able to advise you in this situation.

Weather it be through excersizes or a medical procedure.

This is really a medical question. But I can maybe give some advice. Your problem is not uncommon. You are not circumcised, and your foreskin is too tight. You could possibly have adhesions. These are connections between the foreskin and glans. Usually they loosen before puberty and the foreskin retracts easily. There are ways to loosen the adhehesions, but I am not "licensed" to tell you how to do it. You should see a physician, medico, whatever they call "doctors" in the UK. It is not a serious problem. So don't panic. You will not be "tortured", so don't hesitate to get yourself checked out. Tom
