writes:I'vr been engaged to a wonderful lady for about 18 months, she is going through menapaue and grew in an alcoholic home. She is the most demanding ,controlling person i've ever met. We aren't speaking right now and our engagment might be over, all because i went to an alanon meeting to learn to deal with her anger, control, etc etc etc. I could go on forever. You know I love her and kno wthere is a solution to all this.

 She's angry with you that you went to a meeting to learn how to cope with her? She sounds as though she is deep in denial and perhaps it is for the best that you continue to go to the meetings but end the engagement officially for now. You can't built a solid foundation on mistrust, anger, control and lack of insight.
I'm sorry. I think it's kind of a blessing in disguise for you.
