Listen to your body. If it tells you "no" or "ow" - then you probably shouldn't be doing it.
Rough sex isn't bad for you, it can be great, you just need to know when it's time to lighten up. Involve lots of foreplay and try different positions. Some are easier to do it rough in and some aren't so fun.
Be careful and once again - listen to your body.
