A reader, anonymous, writes (7 April 2010):

A lot of women deal with this. Laura had a point about the carbs. To elaborate: we subconsciously match the people we are with. Have you ever noticed that you and your husband dress alike without even realizing it? The same goes for eating. When you watch your partner heft potatoes and meat on his plate, you tend to follow suit without even realizing it. Plus, you eat most meals together, and when he suggests pizza you eat the pizza because whats the point of cooking or buying 2 meals?

I was gaining too and Im horribly vain, Why deny it? I freaked out! I explained to him what I just told you, and asked him to work with me to buy and cook healthier. He was all on board because he's a exercise-aholic! Then instead of serving both of us on dinner plates, I gave him his dinner on a dinner plate and ate mine off of a salad plate. We subconsciously eat everything on our plates, even if we are full. And when our plate is empty we decide we are full, whether or not we are. I played on that, and tricked my stomach into thinking I was full. next thing I knew, my stomach was trained to eat less!

Last, he loves you. He may be thinking that he didnt sign up for plump, and be feeling a bit resentful. remind him that he married YOU, not your figure. And remind him that is he wants a hot wife then he has to be a hot husband, and hep you out. Support is the #1 thing in any diet!

Laura1318 agony auntI have observed that when a couple marries in the East, they tend to put on weight as they both enjoy the marital bliss or honeymoon.

If your love is strong ,there is nothing to worry about but you should take heed about your husbands complaints.A slimmer body is more healthier.

You can't help about his roving eyes. That is man's innate nature.

A female reader, Laura1318 Malaysia +, writes (5 April 2010):

Laura1318 agony auntMen have a higher metabolism rate and they burn more calories than women.

Men need more carbo for energies and when women live with them , they tend to eat the same kind of food.

The researchers attributed the weight gain to cohabiting women eating unhealthier food because of their partners, while they also have less time to exercise.

Laura1318 agony auntMen are visual creatures and they are attracted to what is beautiful.

If you put on a lot of weight , you will need to watch what you put inside your mouth.

Being fat can put some men off and they will soon lose interest in you .

When you live with a man , you will gain weight because you will eat more carbohydrates .
