It should not hurt when you have an erection. You really should talk to your doctor, not that it's serious, but there are some stretching techniques with a lubricant you can do to fix it.
I'm sure you don't want to tell your mom what the problem is. Maybe you could join a sport team and say that you have to get a physical. Once alone with the doctor, you can talk.
After the physical, don't join the team if you don't want to.

reader, anonymous, writes (28 November 2008): It is worth popping along to your GP for some advice. If you can urinate, get an erection, masturbate etc without pain then some foreskins simply don't pull back. Mine has never pulled back fully. all the best.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 November 2008): Sounds like you need to due some stretching of the foreskin to make the opening bigger allowing the skin to roll back over the head. If you go to a doctor don't let them them talk you into getting circumcised as you will loose most of the feeling. Getting circumcised was the worse thing I have ever done.

If it is hurting when erect then I would say it's not normal this shouldn't hurt.
Just pop along to your doctor and let them just check it out. There's no need to be embarassed they have seen it all before. Even if there's nothing wrong it will put your mind at rest.
