A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (15 October 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntNo it is not wrong to be affectionate to your partner. But I guess it just depends on how he feels about you and what your relationship is like. Talk to him and ask him. You have been with him for 4 months now, but you say he stays in another country, so does that mean you don't get to spend much time together? How much time have you both had face to face to get to know each other? Maybe he is just on a different wave length as you. Talk to him about how you are feeling, ask him why he is getting distant with you. Long distance is hard. Both of you need to work hard for it to work.
