Is it possible to rekindle old flames? How should I try to do this?

Is it possible to rekindle old flames and old loves?

My boyfriend and I broke up after 14 months of dating. We were a great couple until I pushed for the relationship to go to the next level. I pressured so much that I caused so much tension that we drifted at the end. My boyfriend, a month after proposing out of pressure, said we no longer felt we were right together bc of all the tension.

He broke up with me and I've respected his decision. Except, I want to try again. I've allowed 6 months to pass and I'm ready to recontact him. I'd like to see if we can reenter each other's lives as friends and see if anything develops from there.

Bottom line - do old feelings just die and go to the black hole or can they be recovered? Any advice on how to go about doing it? Have any of you out there gone down this path?

Please - no responses about getting over him. I understand that would be the best solution but I've made this decision to try one last time.

Thank you....

Good luck let me know how that turns out. I miss my ex terribly and it's been 6 months and I've tried getting over him.

If you can rekindle whats there great but make sure all your old issues are resolved.
