A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *lexanderhan writes:

I had a house party because my parents were away, my brother said it was ok too. we both invited a lot of people and the people we invited brought more people. i invited my ex, the girl i want a relationship with. as the night went on, people got more and more drunk and drugs were being used. i couldn't find her anywhere. i heard she left early. i went looking for her but i couldn't find her. i told my brother and he went out and cruised the streets in his car for her while i searched the house. i sent everyone home. by 7am, i went out to the park and i found her. she didn't remember anything from the night before and i was so shocked to see what state she was in. she'd got taken advantage of because she was drunk and high on god knows what so she left early. i've never seen her like this before. i seriously didn't know that people were going to be doing drugs at my party or i wouldn't have let her come, i didn't know she'd be stupid enough to that stuff either. it made it worse that her boyfriend wasn't replying to her and he still isn't. i feel really bad, it was my fault that she's so messed up. maybe i'm bad for her and i shouldn't be in her life. she doesn't deserve all this crap.

I guess in one way you are sort of responsible because it was your party (or you and your brother's) and it was on your premises. At the same time I know there isn't much you can do. I'm glad you went looking for her and found her.

Take care of her and be there for her. Good luck to her.

alexanderhan agony auntits the second party that i've ever thrown apart from my 16th. i really didn't know that people were going to be doing such hard drugs. my brother won't even speak to me, even though its partly his fault too because he agreed to it and he invited a lot more people than me and i think he knows the guy that took advantage of her. i took her home, gave her bath, gave her something to eat and put her to bed, watched her sleep for a while and left. i just hope she's going to be ok, i haven't moved from my phone all day. the way she looked at the park just scared me, my heart literally stopped. i never want to see her like that again.

GeeGee255 agony auntNo it wasn't your fault, she should have been more careful and her boyfriend should have taken better care of her.

But I'd still think long and hard before I threw another party if I was you.
