Was wondering what do you all think about holding hands, when someone does this is it just them being friendly or does it usually mean something more. Be good to get all your opinions on this!

LazyGuy agony auntWith a guy? Most likely something more. Depends a bit on the circumstances but if you walk in hand in hand. Well you do that with a parent, child, partner. Someone you want to know. I am here beside you for no reason.

Uncle Sneaker agony auntYes it can be friendship.

Yes it can be something more.

Some people can't cope with physical contact like holding hands without it "meaning" something. Others love to hold hands with friends, and they don't imagine that it could be seen as anything more.

Also, different races and cultures have completely different attitudes to it. Generally, we in the UK are a little reticent when it comes to any physical contact with anyone that we're not VERY close to - but even the British are beginning to change I think.

I think it's good. More people should hold hands. It's a great way of saying "I like you" without getting sexual about it.
